The house comprised of three bedrooms, a small bathroom, toilet and a 'multipurpose hall' are situated on the groundfloor whereas the first floor remains completely open for living, cooking and eating, flooded with daylight.
The multipurpose hall on the groundfloor could act as an enteryzone, as well as an artist studio, workdesk, laundrette and playground. The Cube by Make Architects | hotel architecture

The Cube is the final phase of Birmingham’s Mailbox development and one of Make’s largest buildings to date, made up of a broad mix of uses including offices, apartments, retail units, restaurants, an automated car park, a boutique hotel, spa facilities and the city’s first rooftop restaurant.

modern architecture : Apartment In Katayama

This apartment building designed by Mitsutomo Matsunami looks stunning! The fact that the houses next doors only have 2 floors, makes this 7 story high building even more majestic. It’s build on a 110.55m² piece of land and has a total floor of 341.38m². There are 10 apartments in the building, measuring between 23.2m² and 35.7m², which is tiny compared to European ones.

The Cube architecture, Sin El Fil/Lebanon by Orange Architects

orange Architects, a partnership between Dutch architecture firms JSA, CIMKA and HofmanDujardin, releases the design of a luxury apartment block on Plot 941 in Sin el Fil, an eastern district of Beirut. The design was commissioned by the Lebanese development corporation Masharii.

The 50-metre-tall block will contain 19 apartments ranging in size from 90 to 180 m2. The concept for the tower is simple but extraordinarily effective: ‘maximizing’, making optimal use of the site’s potential, the local building code and the fantastic views of Beirut and the Mediterranean. Within this conceptual framework, we will develop the most extensive building programme possible. The maximum height will be achieved, and the view from each apartment will be optimised. For this purpose, 100-percent flexible floor plans have been developed.

Habitat 67 # 3 by Moshe Safdie cube modern architecture

 Habitat '67 is a unique residential complex, which provides significantly higher density living than single family homes, while still providing many of the benefits of single family homes such as significant outdoor spaces for each home, and a sense of community.

Apartments in Habitat are formed from a handful of standard modules combined in a variety of interesting ways. These modules are arranged in such a way that each apartment has at least one garden terrace, on the rooftop of a unit below.

Different arrangements of these modules permitted the creation of a variety of different interior living space configurations. There are 354 such modules, each providing approximately 55 square meters (600 sq ft) of living space. Originally there were 16 such apartment types, and a total of 158 apartments. The modular nature of the building has permitted apartment owners to combine their unit with a neighboring unit, essentially adding additional modules to their home. As a result, there are now slightly fewer apartments. Apartments in the complex now range from 1 to 8 modules in size, with the majority being either 2 or 3 modules.

To help create a sense of community, access to individual apartments is by a series of outdoor walkways, or "pedestrian streets". These walkways connect a number of community spaces together with the personal entrances to each home in the complex.

Another unique aspect of Habitat '67 is that the modules were prefabricated, and assembled on site by stacking one atop the other.

Moshe Safdie's design for Habitat grew out of his 1961 thesis design project and work he did as part of his university studies. The concept underwent a number of design revisions before being built for the 1967 World Fair in Montreal. Part of the original design that is notably is the encoproation of a variety of shops, cultural spaces and other facilities to create a complete community. Instead, Habitat ended up being an almost exclusively residential building.

Modern Vienna, Austria, Office of the Future

Vienna has tons of palaces and medieval buildings but it also has a very modern hip side. This off center office cube is near the central transit station CAT. The architect must have had fun playing with blocks, cubes and legos as a kid.
